Another old logo that never got used…

Here is a logo I did a cou­ple years ago that I never got paid for, so I thought I would post it.

This is a piece of an ad I built.

I just designed this logo for my client, Chris Bren­nick. It is for his son Kai’s Sixth Birth­day Party. He loves Star Wars so I based this off of The Clone Wars logo. Every­body gets their own shirt (I’m get­ting one too).

And here is the final van, at least the out­side. Now its get­ting loaded inside with TVs, speak­ers, PS3, XBOX 360, Wii and all that jazz.

Here are some rough logo ideas I made this month. The client, Hugh’s Hand­built, is a cus­tom motor­cy­cle shop in the Moun­tains of North Car­olina. They ended up choos­ing one sim­i­lar to the bot­tom logo.

Here’s a snap­shot of the back of the van that my client, Chris Bren­nick sent me. While they work on that over at Fast­Signs, I am lay­ing out sim­i­lar graph­ics for his truck and trailer.

And here is the final prod­uct. I will post some pro high-res pho­tos on Monday.

This is me edit­ing pho­tos for my job at Gan­nett: Regional Ton­ing Cen­ter 1.

I designed the save the dates for my wed­ding. I just gave my cam­era to Alyssa’s mom with the right set­tings at a local park. Our col­ors are black, red and white so this was pretty easy. We bought 100 4x6s at Wal­greens for 15 cents.

This is a golf car I helped design with Golf Cars of Iowa and Fast­Signs for ROCKSTAR SATELLITE.  Dur­ing events there is dry ice in the TNT bar­rel and there is a con­test to throw a foot­ball inside to win prizes.

I pro­posed to my girl­friend on Valentine’s Day. She said yes. I’m excited. We got the date and place fig­ured out already. I can’t wait to start design­ing invites and what­ever else goes into a wed­ding. I am just start­ing to col­lect images and links of good ideas. Our col­ors are red and black which makes it quite easy to make some­thing look good.

I also just turned 21. I bought lot­tery tick­ets yes­ter­day. I’m gonna win.

The fruit itself wasn’t that great, but after­words eat­ing any­thing sour or bit­ter tasted sweet.

Here is a tasty din­ner I made today. I just baked the tots(frozen) and then put already cooked ground beef(grass-fed), salsa(Rotel), jalapenos, and shred­ded cheese on top and put it under the broiler until the cheese melted. It kinda ruins the nature of nacho though when you have to eat it with a fork.

This is a logo in the works for Peb­ble Beach Cot­tages. They have Pri­vate Lake Front Cot­tages on Per­rault Lake in Ontario, Canada. I also might be mak­ing their web­site some­time. I plan on mak­ing dif­fer­ent styles of the logo soon.

I got a job in down­town Des Moines at Gan­nett. I am cur­rently get­ting trained to tone images for the Des Moines Reg­is­ter and other pub­li­ca­tions. I plan to do some free­lance design in the morn­ing, since I have late shifts at Gan­nett. It is pretty excit­ing to have a steady income now. I plan to buy an imac when­ever Apple updates them. Also, I am going to buy CS4, so expect a lot more posts of cool stuff I will be work­ing on.

I went down to the Ozarks to stay at a friend’s lake house. I did some tub­ing… with­out falling off. We ate a bunch of food and did fire­works. I didn’t do any lake pho­tos, but here are some from around the house. Enjoy

Last week­end I went to a wed­ding in Wis­con­sin and on the way home to Iowa I stopped and took a tour of Crys­tal Cave.  I learned a lot about caves and I got some pretty neat pho­tos. Check em out!

A cou­ple week­ends ago I went on a photo-shoot in Cleghorn, Iowa for the web­site that I do for them. I still have some more pho­tos to upload, but here are a select few from around the town.

With so much time on my hands I just sit around and find bad logos and try to make them a lit­tle bet­ter. I was get­ting my oil changed yes­ter­day and I saw the Inter­state Bat­ter­ies logo. I stared at it for a cou­ple min­utes and then I decided that I was going to update it. Heres what I came up with in about half an hour.
